Jōdō  杖道

Ko te Jōdō (杖道) tētahi o ngā Budō(武道), te toi toa Nihon.
He 400 te tau o te hītori nō Jōdō. Hakamahia te Jō (杖),te rākau poto

He 'Katabudō (形武道)' ia.

形  Kata ー āhua
武道 Budō ーte toi toa Nihon

He te kore-pā tēnei budō.
Nō reira, ka mahi te taurua i ō rāua hakatū rākau tika me ngā kori.
Pīrangitia te arotahinga ngoto me te reretahi pai ō rāua tinana me hinengaro.

He rite te āhua o Jōdō ki te taiaha pea.





Jodo (杖道) is one of Japanese martial art(武道). It has 400 years old history.
Using Jo(杖), a short staff.


Jodo is a Katabudo.

武道 Budo Japanese martial arts


It is a non contact Budo. Therefore, the pair practice for the accuracy of their techniques and movements. Requires intense focus and good coordination of body & mind.

Jodo may be similar to taiaha.

Origami 折り紙

Origami is one of the Japanese art.
Make shapes by folding colourful paper.
